This cap fits my 2011 Chevrolet Suburban perfectly! Quality product for the price, and works as advertised. The cap has a nice, tight OEM fit and the key is easy to use. The lock mechanism allows the key to be removed in the unlocked position, so you do not have to leave your keys attached to the cap in order to refuel. Also, once the cap is removed the lock automatically reverts to the locked position, so you do not have use the key to “re-lock” the cap, you simply screw it back into place. The box includes 2 keys which is convenient for anyone with 2 sets of vehicle keys. Tightening the cap is effortless and you hear an audible clicking as the cap locks into place.
For vehicles such as my Suburban where the fuel tank door does not lock in sync with the passenger doors (and it should considering the vehicle’s $50,000+ MSRP), this is a fast, affordable solution to prevent tampering with or siphoning of your fuel.

This was supposed to work on my Chevy Captiva Sport but it does not lock. I live in Oregon where we aren’t allowed to pump our own gas. Every attendant I have had says the lock doesn’t work. It’s only purpose is to look like I have a locking gas cap.

This is the second one I’ve purchased for an 09 Impala 3.5l. I replaced the OEM cap with one because I wanted the locking feature, and the first one lasted maybe 2 years before I began getting a check engine light related to the EVAP system. Replaced it and now it is sealing properly again and the EVAP code has not come back. So I found they don’t last forever but are reasonably priced. I purchased a different locking cap brand for a 2010 Equinox and it is trickier to lock and unlock, but may be better quality. The Stant is very easy to use.

It worked fine for about a week, then the engine warning light! I have 2007 Tahoe so it is not that old, but I lightly sanded the fill tube, just in case but it continued to do it. I then took the rubber gasket out of the original factory cap that had worked fine,but did not have a lock, and replaced the Stant one with it, which was a bit harder. So far no problem except no response from Stant about a replacement gasket that works. I Had tried a Stant for regular gas last year and quit using it for the same reason, I thought the e15 cap would work. Wrong!
Update! Emails to the company don’t seem to get any results, the one they finally answered said they do not have replacement gaskets. The 10 year old OEM gasket I swapped on it is still holding pressure. Bottom line their warranty is worthless.Do not buy, unless you like clearing engine codes every few days, or have an old GM gasket.

this gas cap is made like metal and has amazing secure seal for gascap. nice to know gas tank can’t be tampered with. key is unique and when you nulock it it gently pops out from a vacuum. lokks like this design has a push down air release when you put it on to lock it. the mechanism is put into action after 3 turns of the top connection of the cap and wow does it fit and seal nice. compared to factory cap for my impala ls its like the best…factory cap was junk sort of.

Fit my 04 chevy Avalanche perfectly. Not sure why people are complaining about the keys, mine are double sided and work either way. Maybe previously they were one sided, not sure on that. Fit my truck nice and tight, like the fact that when you remove the key to put the cap on it automatically sets itself in the lock position so you don’t have to lock it with the key. Can’t use the tether cord because there isn’t a provision for it but that’s minor to me. Overall I’m a happy customer.
