Construction and such seems very comparable to the original, if not exact. I was able to install and it felt as good or better as old one. Item is made in Taiwan. I am going to keep an eye out for an older Motorcraft one or such, to pick up just in case.

This is a direct fit replacement lock cylinder. Getting the old one out can be a real pain if you don’t have the key, but once that’s done and you put this one in, you’re good. Used on my 84 Ford F250.

  3. vickie jensen

It is a little hard to turn but it works ok.

  4. Michael Boyd

and it was for the right car

  5. Mr. Controls

Feels cheap. Edges are rough, action is not smooth. Just disappointing from this brand…

  6. solitude

Had issue with the first one i bought, so i returned it and had another one sent. It works great. Highly recommend this product

Just what the title says, the tumbler does not fit my 89 Bronco. It looks the same as the original except that the casting is rougher and does not slide into the hole in the steering column. I can insert and remove the old cylinder easily so I know that everything is aligned properly, this part just doesn’t fit. I think that with some filing or ginding to clean up the casting could make it fit but I chose to replace it with the Motorcraft part.

  8. Jason Fitch

Fit well into a 77 Maverick
