Great product for the price

Standard Motor Products makes quality parts. Yes, made in Mexico, but it’s not China. This was for an 87 Jeep and it solved the no crank, no click problem. I’m happy.
Thomas Ream –
It worked and fit perfect.
Brutally Honest Reviews –
Remember that the off position of this switch is one click down. The first position of the switch is when the key is turned backwards one click for accessory only. The next click is off, then accessory +coil power, heater power, run power etc. then the last position is the start signal to the starter or starter relay. The mounting holes are slotted, when you install it, rotate the key all the way forward and make sure it engages the start circuit, or slide the switch on the slotted holes to get the start connection. You may lose the reverse key position (accessory mode) as the tolerance on manufacturing these switch is nothing like factory OEM.

Had to remove my steering column complete out of dash to replace the ignition swich . After reinstalling everything tested ignition and found that it would not work properly . truck is now parked untill i get a new switch and have the time to do it all over again . Plus its to late to return so im out the money for switch!
Up date ofter contacting Standard customer service here is quote “I have received your inquiry regarding the issues you are having with part number US105. Amazon is not an authorized distributer of Standard Motor Products parts. Any returns on parts would need to be facilitated with the Amazon seller from whom it was originally purchased from.” Who Amazon bought part from unkown . buy through Amazon means no warranty from the manufacturer !

I used this on my tilt column 1983 Jeep CJ. It works great. The mounting holes are slotted, so I had to slide the switch in the slots a little for the key to trigger the switch.

This is an exact replacement for the OEM ignition switch. Installed and working fine in my 1988 GM car. (Fiero GT).
