This solenoid works at least as good as the original solenoids on my 2003 Honda Pilot. About a year ago it started to have issues with not going into third gear. When accelerating it would fail to shift into third gear on time and the engine would freely rev until the gear caught. I occasionally got a check engine code of P0730 and got the flashing D shift light. After swapping out the 2 solenoids on the front of the transmission the issue still remains, but it is slightly improved.
The solenoid can be easily changed out with minimal mess and loss of transmission fluid.
I am knocking one star off as one of the solenoids I received had the mounting tab break off after installation and I lost nearly all of my transmission fluid on my test drive after replacing the solenoid. Consider yourself warned, and check for fluid loss after a short test drive and continue to do so for a little while until warmed up and then periodically for a few weeks after replacmenet.
