  3. WheelchairMD

Works and fits as advertised. This one on my 2010 Ram 5.7 Hemi

  4. Vern

Less than 5 minutes to install both of them

  5. Adam Sparks

04 Ram 1500 was throwing pax side knock sensor code. Ordered this, removed the one bolt holding the sensor in and installed my new one. Code gone.

  6. Sa101

Looks and feels like OEM, but when installed this knock sensor the CEL came back instantly within 5mins of engine running. Bought a new OEM one for dealer and that fixed the issue. So all in all it was cheap enough for me to not be bothered but still it was a waste of money. I put it on a 2008 Jeep wrangler with 3.8v6

  7. Robzorino

Not much to say. It does what it is supposed to do.
Installing it yourself is a little tricky. You’ll need to remove the battery and the its support to access the bolt that hold the sensor in place. The longer your arms, the easier it will be.

Standard Motor Products Makes good stuff. This knock sensor was a perfect fit on my 2008 Jeep Wrangler with 3.8L engine. When installing make sure you torque it to the correct value. The “official” repair manual on AllDataDIY warns that the knock sensor will not work correctly if it is not properly torqued when it is installed. Then the manual gives two different torques, 7 ft-lbs and 15 ft-lbs, both can’t be right. The same sensor is used on a Jeep with a 5.7 hemi and it’s torque is listed as 15 ft-lbs so that is what I used.
