Do not buy. Defective product. Manufacturers will not stand behind their product. You pay for the product because you expect it to work. Then it doesn’t. Door doesn’t close even after adjusting in so many ways. Bought it and installed months later not knowing it wouldn’t work. Lesson learned. Worst part is I bought the passenger side as well. Amazon employee also got aggressive because you’re just wanting a working product. That’s all.

part was inoperable, i installed it and it didn’t work was missing the locking mechanism. had to eat all the labor and put the old one back on.

’98 Cherokee XJ / LF Door – After 25 years my door lock actuator finally gave out. Ordered this item and received it as the picture shows. Seems that the motor/gears housing was not bonded properly at the factory and separated. I need this to fix my door so I will not send back but rather try to epoxy the two parts together. Standard Motor Products sells good quality parts…..I think this one just slipped through the cracks at the factory. Still satisfied with this purchase.
Update: 3/18/23 – Power door lock assembly working great!
