This flange is for a 1310 style joint. As advertised. I used it for my 8.8 swap on my 1995 Jeep YJ. Turns out in 95 they used a 1330 joint.

You can still use this flange, you’ll just need a conversion joint (u joint but half is 1310 size and the other half is 1330 size) they sel these at local parts stores, I got mine in the same day. I didn’t realize this until I went to install and the 1330 factory joint was too big. Otherwise, now that it’s on, there’s no issues, mount as it should, would buy again.

This is what you need to install a Ford Explorer 8.8 in your Jeep. I added this to my existing driveshaft and it just fit. Make sure you have some in and out play into the transmission. Doesn’t come with the c-clips for the ujoint. So you’ll need to source those.

This is exactly what you need if you are doing an 8.8 swap on a Comanche!

Purchased February 2024, reviewed September 2024.

This Spicer 2-2-1379 flange yoke fits as expected. The casting is rough, but they all are and have no complaints or worries about the casting. The machine work is spot on, which is what I expect from Spicer.

While pressing in the u-joint caps, one cap did bind going in. I slowly added pressure, and was about to back off and try to adjust the angle some to help it (it was square in the press), but then the cap moved and the bind was relieved. I was getting nervous as the yoke was flexing some and I did not want to break it. The u-joint was a brand new NAPA joint, seemingly of good quality, so I do not know what the cap was binding at first. Be it the cap or the yoke, in the end the yoke took the flex and then recovered undamaged. I’m happy with it.

This was used to upgrade the original drive line in an old New Holland L35 skid steer. It was cheaper to have the local machine shop machine a flange to fit the gear box, and then bolt this Spicer flange yoke in with a new 1310 u-joint than pay NH a million dollars for their replacement factory-style yoke. This flange was part of the receipt. Now spining a larger u-joint that is common and cheap to buy anywhere along with a common flange yoke. Couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.

Works grat, cheapist price around. Worked great to get it to fit in my crawler with an 8.8 in the back an an atlas on the other. Adapter to go fom 1330 flange to a 1310 u-joint. I bought a spare too.

    excellent Ubolt

You will need remove some metal to fit the u joint cross into the yoke. Except some grinding or machining.

I used this when I put and 8.8 rear end in my 62 f100. It fit my U-joint and the 8.8 pretty good
The U-joint was kind of tight, but did some light sanding and the clips popped right in.

Contrary to what Amazon’s fitting widget says, this item will fit a 1992 Ford Ranger 4×4 4.0l auto. I had to measure and compare to Spicer’s master catalog to find out. It may fit other trucks of this era. The key measurement is the pilot hole in center of unit. If your old one is exactly 2 inches there are only 2 kinds of these, easily determined by the bolt pattern spacing. This unit is the larger one, the 939 is the smaller. Installed and put 500 Rocky Mountain miles on it so far. Will fit many Ford 8.8 rear ends in heavy RWD or 4wd cars and light trucks. The calipers and tape measure are your friend.
