The Mopar Performance twist in oil breather (P4529880) has been discontinued and there was no replacement in sight, so I thought I would try this Spectre breather instead. Luckily, this breather fits the opening in the valve cover very nicely. The rubber seal is still new, so it’s a little hard to twist into position, but I think it will get better over time.
Very glad that this breather works, because who knows when the Mopar Performance breather will be available.

I have a 1969 Pontic with the chrome valve covers and wanted this to replace my driver’s side oil cap breather. When Spectre says it “fits”, you have to really jam it into the hole and then you can literally only twist it about a couple of degrees of rotation. It has the wrong type of ears on the bottom to even begin engaging the ramp inside the valve cover that tightens it. I suspect this is for aftermarket valve covers only. It seems jammed in there pretty good so I’ll give it a go and see if it comes loose. They market it as “high performance” so I’m presuming it flows more CFM than the stock type although looking at it I don’t think that’s the case. Also, it’s filled with a cheap black foam instead of steel wool, so expect it to deteriorate and need replacing in a few years so you don’t suck it into your engine. My reproduction unit did this as well.
