I replaced the original Crank Position Sensor because it had started to fail and throw a code on my wife’s Jetta. This replacement was cheap and works great. It was easy to install, VW thought ahead on this repair.

We had a EPC code on our 08 Beetle. Our code reader said it was the this part. My son changed it out when it arrived and it cleared the code. It was one of the less expensive/easier fixes on one of our VWs. The part has been on the car for over a month and is still working.

This was no more than a 30 minute job including clean up. Get the car on some ramps and you will see the connecter for this just behind the engine cover/drip tray. You do not need to remove the tray, just take your time to disconnect the cable from the connector. The other end is held in by 4mm Allen bolts. You will need a 3-4″ straight Allen wrench. Remove old cable from plastic sheath, replace with new and refit. All errors cleared and car is running smooth again.

Direct fit, easy to install. Product worked good. The code came back however. Cleared the code again and it stayed off.
