Perfect replacement shock great product

They were black and they were Skyjacker so I bought them for my 2010 Chevy Avalanche. These are so soft I took them off after two days, and put on a pair of OEM upgrades. Terrible roll with these, way to soft. The rubber dust boots are not designed to stay in place very well either.

There is zero resistance with these shocks. You can push and pull them apart with your hands without even trying.
I believe skyjacker classifies them as a comfort shock, but I put them on my Silverado and the ride isn’t that comfy at all.
Will never buy again.

Performance as advertised.

I’m not a shock expert, but I like these fine. Honestly, I bought these because they are black, have sizes for my truck with varying lifts, and aren’t $20. These fit my 1985 Toyota pickup rear end with a 2 inch lift. The truck is definitely more streetable now, and fluid doesn’t leak out. I couldn’t afford Bilsteins or OME shocks, so these seemed like a nice middle ground.

awesome

Wow! My old shocks were shot to hell. Having new shocks is a huge relief. Installed with new soft ride 4″ lifted leaf springs.
There’s no more bumpy, jumpy, or bouncing in the rear. Handles bumps, dips, holes, in the road with ease! Like I’m driving a brand new truck on the rear end. Went in easy, as all shocks should on an older vehicle.
They failed to come with new washers, just pick some up at your hardware or automotive store. Bushings are a tight fit in the mounting rings, a lil white lithium grease and they’ll slip in with little physical effort. Bushing sleeves not needed on the DLX, so don’t waste your time putting them in.
Will update after taking them on a jeep trail.
