It all worked like it should.

Just what was needed to check water pressure on my 90hp Yamaha. Very accurate and easy to read. I removed the regular light bulb and replace it with a x bright red led 194 bulb. I replaced all my gagues bulbs with red LED, red doesn’t affect your night vision, and looks good too.
The water pressure is the heart beat of your motor. With this gague I can tell just what my motor is doing, and when it’s getting time to replace the water pump kit. It’s worth every penny.
Just make sure to purchase the Yamaha adapt fitting . very simple to install

Nice looking gauge, works as advertised, lights up nice and bright at night. Only reason I did not give it a 5 star rating is because 1: The instructions included leave much to be desired. Pretty much next to useless. If you are a complete newbie at doing things to your outboard yourself, then you might want to take it to your tech to get installed. 2: I though they could have included several different sized T fittings for different sized hoses. I ended up having to go to an auto part store to get some vacuum fittings to connect hoses together. 3: The hose included is long enough to reach from the motor to the helm of a 20 foot well-craft V20, but with not much wiggle room. After the turns and curves, it ends up right at the gauge. My helm is on starboard side of the boat, and I took an existing gauge out to replace with this one. If I had to make a new hole further away from starboard, the tubing would not have reached. An extra 5 feet of tubing would have been nice. Other than these minor flaws, it is a good product.

Good product overall but 25′ of tubing really isnt much when you consider the bends and turns it takes going from an outboard to the helm. I ended up being 2′ too short on my 22′ aquasport osprey. Luckily west marine sells pitot tubing by the foot but i struggled to find the tiny barb fitting to connect the two lenths of hose. I ended up using a barb from Napa designed for vacuum lines. One other detail worth mentioning is on my mercury 150, normal pressure is only 3-5 psi at idle, and 10-12 psi on a plane. With the scale on this gauge being from zero to 30, the gauge reads very low. This particular gauge would be better suited for motors running with higher water pressure. I’m not sure if the make different scales.

good thing to have should be standard equipment with any outboard motor i hooked it in line at the telltale point. as long as the Gage shows some movement you know you have coolant
