I wanted to run two group 24 size batteries instead of group 27. I made a spacer to fill the gap using cutting board material and it worked great.

Ridiculously expensive plastic tray with NO included hardware. The Plastic buckle on the strap broke immediately upon tightening the hold-down strap. This will not securely hold a 6 volt lantern battery, let alone a pair of 100AH lead-acid batteries. Unbelievably cheap dollar-store quality for damn near $30. Regardless of the application, this is not for you.

If all you need is something to keep two marine batteries in place and contain any potential acid leaks this will work just fine. It’s just got a nylon webbing strap and plastic buckle retain the batteries but it works ok. Several reviews have complained about the buckle breaking when used, but if they got the same buckle as I did they must have been REALLY leaning into it… yes I probably could have snapped it if I tried but if you just do it up enough to retain the batteries you’ll be fine… and if you do manage to snap it replacements are easily found. You’ll need to screw the tray down to the floor, it’s too flimsy to hold the batteries without a solid base.

Pro:
Held my two type 27m deep cycle batteries with no issue.
Con:
Wished screws came with it.

exactly what i needed to install additional 12 v battery
MJL –
Used it one time and the buckle on the strap holding the batteries down broke. The tray seems fine just the buckle was the issue.
MPage –
my batteries are stationary they weight 75lbs each and i have 4 but these bad boys hold them down and fit my specific needs!
Ed Campbell –
I put these in my Ranger bass boat as you guys know there is very little space and this was a big help to keep in compliance with marine laws.

worked well when installing new batteries for my solar system in my camper;
