  1. John Bryant

It seems to work well. The signal output (volume level) is stronger than most of the others that I have used. It is a bit bulky for some 12v locations.

  2. Amazon Customer

Looks good. Unfortunately does not work as intended. Picks up a lot of surrounding interference especially from engine related components. Cheap Chi#!*! C!@#. Waste of hard earned hard taxed money.

  3. Kate

Works well and is easy to use… excellent value

  4. Levi G.

This product does exactly what I need it to do. This whole time I’ve been playing music in my car through a portable speaker, its deathly annoying when I forget to charge it or leave it somewhere. Its also super simple to work out, the instructions are clear. Overall, I am very satisfied.

Here’s a more formal and articulate version of your review with some additional suggestions to make it more critical:

After using this device for a while, I must say that I am quite underwhelmed. Despite being slightly more expensive than other products in this category, it falls flat on many basic features that others carry. Let me begin with the physical build of the device.

While the build quality is mostly fine, it is not the best. However, it’s important to keep in mind that this is a sub $25 device as of writing this review. There is a single knob to change the songs that are currently playing within your phone’s queue. This knob is also used when the “channel” button on the right side of the device is clicked to then tune the signal which you can pick up on it from. The main issue being that if this is the main knob you interface with, I don’t understand why the manufacturers wouldn’t have put a little more thought into making it feel less awful to use. It feels flimsy when moved, flipping out with little action required and then falling back into place. Although it does the job well enough, I am unsure how usable it will be in the future given the quality of it. It’s likely that a cheap knob like this will give out or misread inputs over time.

The light reads off the channel number with a pleasant white LED. This is my favorite part of the device, as it is very easy to read while I am out and about. However, the quality of the audio is where this device really falls short. It seems to be fuzzy and quiet at best, with absolutely no way to adjust the audio from the device. This is absolutely crucial for people with older cars, as they may require a stronger audio signal to properly listen to their music. In other Bluetooth models I have used, it is very simple to slide the volume all the way up and easily be able to listen to the music. However, with this device, I have found myself needing to turn my car’s volume up to 70% just to hear what sounds like 10% volume on the FM radio. Despite checking the very brief manual given with the device and ensuring that volume limiting is turned off on my phone, the audio quality remains poor.

To make matters worse, the audio quality lacks both high and low ends, making a lot of the fun or nuance of music get lost in the process. It’s disappointing that such a basic feature as adjusting audio is missing from this device. Without it, the device is almost unusable. Given the fact that the audio quality is poor and the device lacks basic features, I believe this device may have some quality control issues, and you’re not entirely sure what you’re going to get.

In conclusion, my advice would be to look for something else, as this device is lacking in very basic features to begin with, yet it is sold at a markup compared to competitors.

  6. Jonathan Wise

I did not expect a FM transmitter to be this awesome. Mind you, I haven’t used one for more than a decade, but I bought an old Saab as a project car, and figured an FM Transmitter would be better than nothing until I can figure out how to hack Bluetooth directly into the head unit. After a week with this, I’m not sure I’m going to bother with any hacks: It sounds great, it works exactly as you’d expect (easy to change station, easy to pair to Bluetooth, easy to re-connect), provides two USB ports for charging devices, AND has an aux-in (the manual calls it aux out, but it functions as an input) to let you plug directly into the transmitter instead of using Bluetooth (y’know, in case you want to rock an old iPod in your old car.)

Plugged into the cigarette lighter directly under the stereo, I haven’t had any problems with static or interference. This thing “just works” and was totally worth the purchase.

Works as advertised, great purchase. Great reception without static. Straight forward installation

  8. BigMac

Add hands free and Bluetooth where there is none. I have an older model SUV that is still working great but didn’t have hands free, but I didn’t want to spend a lot of money upgrading the entertainment system. This was recommended to me by a friend, it works great and does all it says. And while the controls are not exactly intuitive, they are easy enough to figure out. It’s not that I don’t read directions, it just that with so many gadgets, it’s hard to keep up with their operation. And once this is working, you don’t have to touch it again unless you need a different FM station to tune to. Also, be aware that if you switch stations, you have to power cycle the unit to reconnect to your phone. But you can just pull it out of the power socket and plug it back in. I’ve used in several different locations, having to switch stations several times to find a clear channel. The unit itself works very easily once connected. The sound is clear through the car speakers, and if your phone is not too far away, others have told me I come though clear enough to understand. Notifications come through (email, navigation, etc.) also come through quite clearly also. When listening to the radio, switching from your favorite radio station to the phone is easy, just program one of your buttons to the Handsfree station, then if you get a call, just switch to the handsfree station and answer the call.
I do have two suggestions: 1. The buttons on the unit are black-on-black (around the answer button) and are NOT backlit. Suggest you paint them white, or glow in the dark so they are easier to see in low light and you can figure out which one you are pressing. 2. The remote controls works great, but the symbols on buttons on the remote to NOT match the symbols used on the buttons around the unit (again, around the answer button), leaving you to guess which function on the remote does the same thing as on the unit. This is a nuisance thing but don’t lose the remote. The remote has some functions that are not available on the unit (understandable), just recognize the difference.
This unit would be great for say a classic car that has FM (or added in a hidden area), because you can add the functions from your phone without hurting the classic look of the car. Also, I don’t understand why the auto manufacturers don’t get out of the entertainment systems business (I really do, its $$$) and just add the capability to use your phone directly from their in-car displays. It is simply a matter of programming and wiring. And using your “free and always up to date” map and GPS makes a lot more sense than paying the dealer several hundreds (to several thousands) of dollars for their bug ridden and inaccurate navigation systems that you have to pay over and over to get updated. This unit goes a long way to making it much easier to leave out the fancy radio/navigation system and just use your phone instead.

Latest edit. Finally took the time to get a sharpie to color in the buttons, as they disappear in the car. Especially on bright sunny days, as in most autos, this unit will sit lower down, in the shadows. See photos. Rather than trying to color in the depressions, I covered over the flat part of the button, leaving a good contrast. First button is a little sloppy, as I was experimenting. But his seemed to work well to provide a good contrast..

  9. Amazon Customer

Instantly connects once car turns on. I love using Scosche’s Bluetooth transmitter, have had it for over a year and still works like new, it also sounds great. I like this product than any other brand on the market. It’s a bit pricey which I think it should be lower.

  10. oswynne

La calidad del material se ve bien, aunque lo que resalta es el excelente sonido. Claro que se escucha un poco de estática dependiendo la estación de radio, pero el sonido del transmisor es increíble, muy claro, yo uso Apple Music así que suena genial. Me encantó.
