I ordered a Schumacher 1.5 amp battery maintainer from amazon, the day i received it and plugged it in it was faulty and would not charge, i filled in a return form from the amazon website and returned it to the registered parcel point dropoff 50kms away from the address i received it at, there amazon webpage has provision to do this if the product is faulty or does not work as intended, this did both, by taking the time to do what the webpage requested they said a for a FULL REFUND would be forthcoming and this was now 6 weeks ago and i am still waiting for my money to be returned, i kept my side of the bargain and Amazon has not kept there promise

This maintainer works like a champ. I have one that I have had for several years and it has worked well on my vintage car. Just purchased an electric start generator and have hooked it to the Second one of these items I have purchased. No doubt it will be ready to go when i need it. Good unit at a good price.

This is a basic, low-priced trickle-charger, but it’s good quality. I’m not sure they still make it anymore though. The company website has only higher-priced ones listed.
I need it to keep my car battery charged, because I drive so little in my old age. Without it, my batter goes dead between trips. FYI, I have a special car insurance which charges by the mile. I pay $1.09 a day, plus 3.8¢ per mile. That’s for full coverage, including collision and comprehensive. When I did the math, it worked out to be less than half of what every other insurance company charges for the very same thing. ($400/yr, plus mileage.) But it only works for me because of how little I drive. Hence the need for a trickle-charger!
The instructions with the charger says it cannot charge a car battery. Maybe they mean it would take too long to charge a big Caddy, because it worked to charge my dead battery in about half a day, back when I first bought it. I own a small SUV-ish car. Calling it an actual SUV is like saying my pony is a horse.
It includes wires which can be permanently connected to the car battery. That comes in quite handy in my situation. I park my car, then plug in the charger. All set until next month! 🙂

Replacement for the same brand that gave us 20 years of working. If this one lasts that long we’ll be six feet under…. LOL

Works well for charging 12 volt batteries and 6 volt solar charger batteries. Got it for atv battery because it need low amperage charging. Higher amperage charging can ruin these batteries.

I owned two Schumacher trickle chargers that I used on my motorcycle and my lawn mower for the past 11 years. One of them finally quit working. So, naturally, I wanted to replace it with another Schumacher. I hope this one will last at least as long as the previous one did. The new one came with the correct attachment to charge my motorcycle and it has an attachment so it can be attached directly to a battery. Quality product.

Works great on my Porsche 911 which, is a garage queen. Keeps the battery topped off.

I gave my first one away, so had to purchase a new one. Does the job perfectly. I have collector car and couple yard vehicles that go a long time without running, so this is the perfect device to keep the battery ready to go.

I bought this to hook my car up to it when I put into storage later this fall. My car has a lot of electronics and the dealership said if I don’t put a maintainer on it, the battery will go dead. This came highly recommended.
