Put it in worked perfectly for 2 days then after that started acting up just like my old 1 so I just ordered 1 off of xdp

  2. andrew

This product does not work put it on my truck and still having the same issue

  3. Branodn Miller

Without power, these demonstrate variable resistance between 5v, signal and ground. The item description is copied from a hall-effect sensor but these are analog wiper TPS sensors that will fail very quickly.

  4. Jesse w

    Works

  5. Todd

So far so good. My ’01 Ram was throwing the P0122 code for low voltage at the TPS. I kept putting off fixing it but then the throttle lost all response. Had to shut it off at turn it back on. Limped home and installed this part.

No issues yet. Hope it lasts.

Dodge owners be aware! A dead accelerator peddle in the middle of nowhere is not where you want to be. Always carry a spare…ask me how I know!

Shipping was fast as always BUT it did not fox the issue. Even with resetting the apps parameters via calibration the idle and the top end of the rpm range is not “fueling” properly, steady code of calibration error meaning the contacts at some point in the sweep are not functioning. I assume the high and low side though I have adjusted it. I’ll continue to trace wires but so far all have polarity and the plug seems fine, but the apps is still cutting out but now not in mid range but the high and low range of the sweep. Hope this helps, used on 98.5 vp44 Cummins

I had codes P2121, P2122, P2127 with an intermittent dead pedal, no throttle. Pump the pedal several times and it would recover. The local repair shop wanted over $600 for the OEM sensor and his supplier was out of stock. So I decided to do this myself. I am pretty savvy with mechanical things.
The TPS was easy to install. I watched a few YouTube videos. You will need a 10MM socket, a t-20 torex bit, a stubby philips screwdriver, a large paperclip, a DC voltage meter. I took my time. I had a little bit of trouble getting the plastic cover off. The front keeper by the radiator hose was stubborn probably from overheat. I finally used a large flat-blade screwdriver and pried it off.
Once installed, for the voltage tuning, I used a large paperclip bent open as a probe extension- poked into the back side of the square 6-pin plug. It’s the wire closest to the driver side and firewall. I used the idle adjustment screw and adjusted it to 5.5 volts. I reset the check engine light. I have driven the truck around for two days now. No more check engine lights. No more dead pedal issues. I will update this if there are any further problems or failures.
