Works great like Luk products do

Finally got around to installing this on my 1999 Trans Am Firehawk. Was very difficult to install but that is not the seller’s fault or a product issue. It’s an engineering design issue for which I can only complain about 24 years later. Product works well and the clutch pedal performance feels the same as OEM. Hopefully it will last another 24 years and/or 85,000kms.

Great replacement for my 02 camaro z28 6 speed also did the “drill mod” and now shifts way better and smoother than before. Old clutch master cylinder was shot and leaking all over the inside causing pedal to get stuck down too. If you can’t afford the 325$ for the tick master cylinder I highly recommend this one and the doing the drill mod on the steel braided clutch line

    Did the job

After buying one at AutoZone and two from O’Reilly’s I finally bought a good one. In about 20 pumps I had a firm pedal and only had to pump it up one time on the first drive. like it should be. All the others I had to pump and bleed for 10 to 20 minutes, then I had to pump it up every time it sat for more than 2 days. The parts stores will try to tell you that is normal but was it like that before and how long do you think they messed with it at the factory when your car was built.

Found out it Broken during bleeding already installed in car… found out after the return period closed. A lot of work for a defective item.

I helped out a friend replace a clutch master cylinder on a 1999 Trans Am. It’s not an easy job only because there is very little space to work on Trans Am’s . I saved hundreds of dollars doing it myself. The car shifts great and is back on the road.

***UPDATE*** 5 months & 2k miles later, still working fine.

Replaced the stock master in my ls1 t56 trans am. Everything fit perfectly and it’s working perfect. I have a few hundred miles on it so far. Car is stock besides exhaust *I also did the drill mod to the fluid line. **look up the drill mod on YouTube. Good instructional videos for how to remove/replace and do the drill mod. I will update if this fails

  9. Bass

Worked perfectly in my 2001 Firebird formula. Just like OEM.

This “Master Cylinder” did not fit my car the first time, because it wasn’t a master cylinder, it was a slave cylinder. So I sent it back and had them send me a replacement. The second “Master Cylinder” didn’t fit my car at all either, because it was a clutch kit!!

Both boxes had labels from the manufacturer with part, and part number corresponding to what was actually in the box. They also had a sticker over part of that label that said it was this part…🙄

So now my wife has been stuck at home(with 3 kids) for two weeks without a car, because I’ve had to take hers to work.

Also they won’t care if they send you the wrong part late, they’ll just do it again.
