We bought a used refrigerator and the shelf in the freezer, which was mostly covered in rubber or plastic, had rusted in several places where the covering had been damaged. I thought about throwing it away and buying a new one, but I am always loathe to add to the landfill if I can prevent it. Then I see this stuff and I thought, What the heck, and ordered it. I am so glad I did. In just a few minutes the shelf was returned to its former glory. It was so easy!

My spouse has a bad habit of using tools outside and then leaving them there. On the ground. You name it and he has left it outside: screwdrivers, wrenches, hammers, hedge clippers, I have found them all, usually after using the leaf blower to clear the yard. Well, I found this rust remover powder, and it reminded me of all of those old, rusty tools just waiting to be returned to their former glory, so I ordered it. I left it on the counter, just as a reminder, and as luck would have it, we had a big snowstorm here last week that meant nothing outside, except snow shoveling, was being done. So, with time on his hands, my spouse took it upon himself to confront the rusty tool drawer.
The instructions on the container explained the ratio of powder to water in order to make a paste for cleaning. Even though it said the powder was non-corrosive and harmless to humans and pets, I would recommend wearing rubber gloves while mixing it. Once you have the paste made, it’s just a matter of applying it to the rusty thing you are cleaning and letting it sit for 15 minutes. The first things he attempted to clean were a couple of box wrenches and some screwdrivers. After 15 minutes, he rinsed them all off and they looked brand new. Being quite pleased with the results, he continued on with the rest of the tools in the rusty tool drawer until there were none left.
In all honesty, I was really shocked and surprised at how well this rust remover worked. I am the skeptic in the family, and I am one of those people that needs proof in order for me to believe that something actually works. This stuff does!
