Easest gasket sealer I have used, seems to work. No leaks

A+. This compound lubricates the threads and mating surfaces so you can get a tight seal. Use it without and then apply it and see how much easier everything tightens up. Fantastic product !

My neighbor is retired from HVAC and when I asked him what to use for leaky manifold gauges, he yelled ” NYLOG RED”! Hopefully it will work because I cannot see paying a pro 10x the price that I can fix it for. Has a light oil smell and is a medium/thick consistency. Will update results soon!
Also, my neighbor advised me to check and replace all the schrader valves and use the softer 1/4″ manifold gauge gaskets (Amazon has a bag of 50 green gaskets for only $6!!!) instead of using the nylon gaskets. If I have time, I will do a video review on this.a

I had been ignoring my 20 year old AC system that leaked at the drier to low pressure line junction.
No matter what I tried with different sizes of O rings, I could not hold vacuum longer than 3 hours.
I decided to give this a go and pulled vacuum but it still didn’t hold vacuum over night.
I decided to just fill the system after drawing a vacuum with refrigerant with some sealer.
Behold, it has been fine for past 2 months and I still have AC.
I noticed this thing will soften plastic. My phone case has a spot where I got this snot on the surface and it is now permanently softened enough I can push with finger and it willl leave my finger print. I guess that is how this works.
I would never mate any AC fittings without this ever again.
Highly recommended.

Used this product to help seal my line sets for my mini-split AC unit. Works great.

Seems to have worked very well. I used on my A/C o-rings when changing my evaporator core and drier and no issues thus far. Little things like this and Loctite on bolts go a long way…worth it for peace of mind.

This product will not seal pipe threads. In overhauling my Mopar RV2 compressor, the product seems to have worked except for the schrader valve fitting (which screws into the head) and the oil fill screw, both of which are pipe threads. Now must lose all my R12 to reseal these locations with teflon tape.

I gave this a 3-star only because I trust the teflon tape over it.
