My AUX port died and found this replacement. All I had to do, was pop off the old one, unplug the wires, plug the wires into the new one and pop it back into place. Super easy replacement and sounds great. No issues at all.

My aux cable stopped working on my 2011 Honda Civic. My trusty mechanic said he thinks I just need to replace this part and showed me this product on Amazon. My dad connected it for me. At first, there was a buzzing noise when I connected it to my phone, but soon that buzz disappeared, and I finally could use my aux cable to play music from my phone. Don’t know what happened that fixed that buzz, but I am glad I bought this! Saved me a lot of money from having to overhaul things. Also it seems to fit the Honda Civic 2011 perfectly. No extra spaces.

Product is as advertised. Perfect replacement part. But in my 2011 CRV there was no way to get the original part out without some creative thinking. Unlike some other models, there is no provision to access the release tabs. The whole unit is mounted flush with the dash faceplate. The reason this repair is so expensive to have done at the dealer is that you have to disassemble a LOT of the dash get the original part out. The release tabs are inaccessible from the front, or even from under the dash.
After getting the replacement part and making some measurements, I drilled two small holes, angling inward, on either side of the dash faceplate. The idea was to aim toward the release tabs, hidden behind the faceplate. Then I stuck two small screwdrivers in the holes and pressed the tabs. POP! Out it came.
Rather than completely uninstalling the piece, I used the interior of the new part, with the jack and circuit board, to replace the defective internal pieces. The replacement is such a close match for the original that it just plugged right in.
Since the trouble with the jack was likely caused by the pressure of the spring loaded cover pushing on a plugged-in Aux cord plug, and I planned to keep a Bluetooth adapter permanently in the jack anyway, I just used a razor saw to remove the cover and hinges altogether.
It was then a simple matter to snap the face plate on the assembly and plug the repaired unit back where it belongs. The small holes on the faceplate can be covered by little vinyl stickers or bits of electric tape if it bothers you.
Repair completed, at less than 1/10th the cost the dealer quoted. Works like a charm. Recommended.

This piece was malfunctioning in my 2007 Honda CRV and I was unable to listen to music. I thought it was my aux cord but after replacing that and I still couldn’t listen to music I bought this replacement piece off Amazon and I can financially listen to my music again. Install was easy and I’m glad it was a simple fix.

I broke my port that came originally in my car. I thought I had to take out a whole bunch of panels but it turns out I only needed to open a little door in the pocket to install this! I am happy with the sound quality and it is very easy to install. I would suggest if you’re going to replace the whole thing to remove the old one through the door, thread the cord through the open hole and connect the new one. Make sure it works properly before actually pushing it through the hole, otherwise you will have a very hard time taking it out.

I have had this installed and used regularly for 6 months to a year. The install process is pretty simple for someone with a basic knowledge of car interiors.
This fixed the issue with my stock unit, where the sound was cutting out regularly. Now, after a short period of time the sound cuts out sometimes with the replacement but only on the right side. Wiggling the connector within my aux port will fix it for a while, just like my factory one but not as bad. Purchased a second piece because they are quite inexpensive (1/3 the cost of Honda’s part.)
Might take this one apart to see what went wrong, but if I have to buy a third one in a year I might as well have gone with the factory component… This is great for a quick fix, and for ~$1 a month I’m glad to have my own music.
