I ordered this for use in a RAM 1500.
Sometimes my wife wants to charge her phone but not be the phone feeding the CarPlay system.
Sometimes it’s the reverse with me.
Sometimes I need to charge my kids phone etc etc.
That’s nice though is it has the USB connection so I can power my dash cam with this plugged in too.
I found no parasitic draw with this and it’s been great.

The ALLTESXY Retractable Car Charger for Mazda CX5 is a car 12V socket charger equipped with a USB-C and Lightning retractable cables. It also has one USB-C and one USB-A ports.
The unit did not have any issues negotiating charging speed with any of the devices connected, since supports QC2, QC3, Apple charging, BC 1.2, Samsung AFC Huawei FCP and SCP.
By the way, this device fits on any standard vehicle with a 12V/24V socket, so it will work pretty much on any vehicle including Mazda…of course.
The ALLTESXY Retractable Car Charger is advertised as a “60W USB C and Lightning Car Charger”, it also states “Type-C cable supports speeds up to 60W” right below in the “About this item” section.
However, this device is not capable of such abilities. It maxes out around 27W on the USB-C and it reaches just 36W when charging two or more devices combined.
I was thrilled to have a USB-C car charger that could provide 60W, so I could “Turbo charge” my smartphone, which could draw that much power.
To make sure the vehicle power was not an issue in the equation, I placed the ALLTESXY Retractable Car Charger on a controlled PSU that delivers constant 14-15-volts or 24.5-volts and 10-amp.
Even at 24 volts, it cannot provide more than 27W from a single USB-C connection, neither from several devices combined.
The ALLTESXY Retractable Car Charger is a nice tangled free charging station for your vehicle. It offers a convenient retractable USB-C cable interface, so there is no need for carrying cables or looking for cables while driving.
The unit is just fine to charge most smartphones, tablets and devices that require around 20W of power. It could also handle fast charging two devices at 15-20W, but did not get anywhere near the 60W advertised.

The ALLTESXY Retractable Car Charger is a nice and functional charger. I use mine in a 2011 Mazda 3 and it easily charges an iPhone 15 and a Garmin GPS. It even has a voltage meter, which actually came in handy diagnosing a failing battery. My only complaint is that it is bulky, and while the 12v input folds, it can be challenging to find an orientation can fits in my available space. Otherwise, it’s nice to have retractable cords so I don’t have cords all over the car. At a current price of $25 plus an additional 25% off, I consider it a good value for what you get.

This product is made well. The display is feature is informative about the voltage that is being drawn. This will take up some of the room since it’s tall. Having the 2 kinds of wires, fire and USBC is nice and are long enough, hopefully the retraction reels last because this keeps the wires tucked away when they recoil. The pivot point on the charger is nice because it gives you a little flexibility where ever you plus it in.

This is listed as for Mazda but can be used in any car. I have a need for a usb a plug and like that the retractable plugs are convenient clearing my center console shifting area of cords. This has loads of power (when engine is running) so should fast charge. It is a little bulky but it says it has battery protection so I assume internal circuitry. I like that the head pivots so I can manipulate plug more “out of the way”. Great accessory for my car

I really like this, but it causes my phone to overheat to where it has to turn everything off to cool itself. I have only had this issue with this charger. Not my previous one. At this point, I make sure my phone is charged before getting in the car and only use this if I happen to use up my battery while out. And that’s until I find my previous car charger.
Both my car and phone are late model, so there is no reason for the overheating.
