The provided tool for removing the old seal needed to be sharpened a bit so it would bite into the old seal. A few minutes with a round file for the inside, and a triangle file to sharpen the threads did the trick. The seal fit as it should and hasn’t leaked since.

Attempted to slip the puller over the shifter bolt, and it would not fit. It was clean and nothing that should of blocked it. Ended up taking a micrometer to it and it was not large enough. Took a half inch drill bit and locked it in a vice with some oil, bored out the hole to 1/2 and then it slipped over the shifter bolt just fine. It did not want to grab very easy, I had to use a pry bar while turning it to get a bite on the threads. It finally did the job.
Quality control needs to be addressed.

Works great and very easy tool to use. Seemed a little tight going over the shifter but didn’t damage shifter. If you’re unsure how to use. There are plenty of you tube videos.

I bought this tool as a kit with a seal for a th400 transmission. The tool does not fit and therefore does no good to me. Why would you send a tool with a seal that doesn’t even work to install the included seal. That’s about the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen. You know it doesn’t work. Stop selling it.

Does not fit TH400 shifter shaft

Removal tool did not fit over selector shaft on my TH 350 trans. Had to drill it out with a 1/2” bit so it would fit over selector shaft. Tool would not bite into seal. Tried for 2 hours to start it. Afraid to hit it any harder. Complete waste of time and money. Do NOT buy this company’s product.
