Received sooner than estimated delivery. Almost identical to the 2005 Yamaha F90TLRD OEM relay at significant reduced cost. Pretty much just plug and play and only takes a couple minutes to change out. With my model I did have to use the included shaft extension which is plastic rather than a full metal shaft like the OEM. However, this shouldn’t be an issue given there isn’t much torque on the shaft.
As an FYI, I had thought the issue was the trim motor as my old relay tested good with a multimeter and the trim would work intermittently and also when you tapped on the motor and it would also work good after cleaning the brushes and armature suggesting an issue with brush contact. However, in the end, I determined the old relay wasn’t sending enough amps, so it would only work when the brushes had complete contact with a clean armature. Once I changed the relay the trim works great.
