Great product and easy installation!

After wavering back and forth if I really needed this or not, I went ahead and ordered. Makes sense, protect your vehicle wiring. Right? A few days later I borrowed my friend’s trailer. He assured me that all the lights worked…he just had the wiring all redone. Hooked it up – one turn signal, one brake and no tail lights.. I think I just got my money’s worth right then and there. Protect your vehicle from your friend’s trailers wiring, people…

I bought this brake adapter because it was listed as fitting my vehicle and I wasn’t worried about having to splice the wires into my vehicle’s wiring. When I got to the task of installing this device and finding almost no room to manipulate the wiring loom and seeing the Curt brake adapter installation video, I ordered to Curt model, also specifically designed for my vehicle, but with the same connectors as used in my Toyota vehicle, so it was a simple “plug-and-play” installation instead. The pricing of the two different adapters were almost the same, so it seemed a better value to buy the Curt version for the ease of installation in my situation.

This is just a generic converter. When I searched for my specific vehicle this came up. Instead of getting a converter you can simply attach into an existing circut this one requires you to have a voltage probe and a second person to install. You can get a generic model for around $13.
