This stuff is great. Car shifts so much nicer now!
I was stupid and put Great value gear oil that’s made for differentials in my manual transmission. 3years when I drained the fluid it was a glitter bomb. The new oil this oil is great. Oh and I also got installed a magnetic plug this time. Car is 2010 Kia soul 190,000 miles. Transmissions still works no more grinding

Works great. Used in an older 5 speed manual and after driving a while the transmission was much easier to shift, less notchy shifts.

Best oil for 370z manual transmission.

With the factory fluid, the transmission on my 5MT Evo X is a rough one. The synchronizers are crude, the gears are notchy, and it’s particularly difficult getting into the 1st, 3rd, and reverse gears.
The MT-85 has made a night-and-day difference after my recent fluid change, so much so that it feels like a transmission swap for the better. The 3rd gear is still notchy to engage (mostly because of the synchronizer design), but all the other problems have gone. The shifter feels so “lubricated” (for the lack of a better word), and it provides excellent feedback at the engagement of every gear. I don’t miss gears anymore, and I don’t have to bang gears hard anymore. As the result, the shifter gives a precise, mechanical, but refined impression, which is mesmerizing.
I always believe that the absolute best consumer products should feel “transparent.” The best computers feel transparent, because there are no bugs or crashes. The best washers feel transparent, because they are quiet and don’t break down. The MT-85 feels just like that. With the absence of imprecision and notchy shifts, as well as the resistance to engage in gears, all that remains is pure shifts.

Klare Empfehlung 👍🏻

I’m very fussy about the products that I use in my vehicles. They are expensive to buy, expensive to repair but pretty inexpensive to maintain and avoid repairs. I use this in my wife’s 2021 Kia Forte GT with a manual 6 speed transmission. It shifts smoother and easier than when new with the factory transmission gear oil in it. The term “shifts like butter” comes to mind. If you run a manual transmission you should try Red Line. It’s the real deal.

I have 2006 Kia Spectra5. On redline’s website they say this is a recommended replacement for my transmission Kia API service GL-4 fill for life (although Amazon says it does not match). It is definitely better than OEM and is an exact match with my owners manual. This is the third change with 89000 on it now. This car is known for its rough shift to second and this has helped out a lot. Now it hasnt eliminated it but 9 shifts out of 10 (when it is fully warmed up) it will glide right in. Cold shifting is better but still notchy so dont expected it to fix that. It still seems to “rumble” into 2nd when cold, its not a grind but definitely doesnt go in smooth. All in all I honestly dont think anything is better, this is probably the best I will find and will keep it in until the next recommended change. Would definitely recommend as it all gears seemed to shift a little smoother except for 5th (no problems just not as buttery smooth). Hope this helps

I put this in a 2010 Nissan Altima Coupe – 6 speed manual. I live in Colorado, so you can imagine at times temperatures here are less than tropical. Over time my car really didn’t like cold weather, in terms of going into gear, most noticeable when down shifting when it was below 0. At times I would have to fight a bit to get the gear I wanted, as the syncros would dislike the idea of the gear selection I made when it was brutally cold.
So I decided to give this a try. I drained the MT-85 in my car – replaced it with this – the entire process took under 20 mins. Very quick, very easy to do. Call it easier than an oil change in most ways. I put in this fluid, after about 5 miles of driving I found myself grinning as my car moved through gears like it never had before. Even brand new my car never shifted as well, as smooth. This fluid honestly made my car – with a lot of miles on it now – drive better than it ever has, including when I drove it off the lot with the dealer plates on it.
I can’t say enough about how such a simple – easy – low cost – thing improved the drivability of my car. Everyone should put this in their manual gear boxes *get the right weight for your car* – just great. Mad I waited so long to do it.
—– —— —– for those interest in how to do this on an Altima – it is very easy as I said —— —— —–
Pull out your air intake – like you would to change your air filter – except remove the whole box, there is one Philips screw holding in the air box with the mass air flow sensor in it – it is located right next to your strut mount on the drivers side. Leave the mass air flow sensor hooked up and everything, you just need to move it out of the way a bit.
Look down into your engine bay – about 4 inches to the left of your master cyclender you will see a 10 mm bolt holding down the fill hole for your MT fluid. Remove this 10 mm bolt – then just pull the fill hole cover off. Done with opening it, up top – a few mins.
Now jack up the car, leave the tires on – see easier than an oil change – locate the drain plug right below the fill hole. this is a 10 mm Hex bolt. put a pan under it, remove the bolt, let the fluid drain. Put the bolt back in, remove the pan with the old fluid, lower the car. In total this takes just a few mins.
Now . . . I just put a plain old funnel in the MT fluid fill hole. there is enough room you don’t need to use a tube. Open the first bottle of fluid, put your thumb over the opening so you can put its opening into the funnel without spilling it. Remove your thumb from the bottle and let it go into the funnel, into your car.
Open the second bottle – measure out 700 ml – pour that 700 Ml into the empty bottle you just put into your car. Now simply put your thumb over the bottle opening, so you can get it into the funnel without spilling, let it drain into your car.
Replace the fill cap and bolt – put your air intake back in place – I changed my air filter while I was int here – and your done. Nothing to it. very easy.
