Fully extend these are approximately 18″ and I need between 22″-23″” for my gmc 1500 with a 3″ suspension lift. Sending them back
Irish Man –
They gave me 2 1/4” of lift up front but the explosive rebound from small bumps is totally unacceptable. Terrible ride quality. I’ve tried the dampening adjustments from one extreme to the other and can tell no difference. Feels like no dampening at all on rebound. This was handy but I should have spent the extra money on Bilsteins. I’ll probably remove these.

I have never left a review before as I find it to be a waste of time but these struts are truly a rip off and not what is advertised they are not ride height adjustable and forgot I had independent suspension while they were in go with the bilstein 5100 don’t waste your money straight rip off..

Lift struts have a harder ride because they are lifting the truck. Rancho’s are known for a harder ride. Using spacers and a strut known for a softer ride is an option. I got 2.25 inches of lift on my truck. ALL I HAD TO REMOVE WAS THE SWAY BAR LINKS. And pry dowm lower control arm and they went right in . My truck does ride a little harder now but springs should soften with time.

Wanted to level out my truck without using blocks and this was the easiest way to do it. Comes with new bolts and nuts. Definitely brought the front end up to pretty much level the truck out. I set the adjustable shock settings to 5 so it right in the middle.

Very easy to install didn’t need to pop the knuckle or use spring compressors. I set mine right in the middle of the adjustment range before install and for me it was perfect right there.

The price is right but the ride quality is rough. I would recommend getting a stock style strut and a spacer lift. I adjusted these to the softest setting and they were still rough. In addition the adjustment knob is hard to read.
