This Jsvecip Radar Detector Cable, USB to RJ11 worked for about an hour and then crapped out on me. I’m thinking it has something to do with the RJ11 plug (see photo.) It’s not melted or anything (though it almost looks like it,) but the wires in the RJ11 plug aren’t installed as nicely as they should be. Notice the two middle wires stick way up and are crooked in comparison to the others.
Having said that, the hour that it worked, the cable behaved just fine. I have another cable that has the “brains” in a little inline box a few inches away from the USB-A plug. That one was okay, but there was no strain relief on the USB plug so the wire started coming out. This one has the “brains” in the (larger) USB plug and includes some decent strain relief where the cable attaches. The box part makes the USB plug two to three times the size of a standard USB plug, but it’s not horribly huge. Still if you’re limited on space where you plug the USB cable in, you may want to consider other options.
Anyway, I’ve learned my lesson and will now carry two power cords with me when I travel.

My older cable got damaged when the detector fell off the windshield. Plugged in this cable and the detector came right up with no fuss. Cable length is same as my other cable was.

So i have been using this cable for a few months now with no issues on my Escort Passport radar detector. Its an older model but i needed a radar detector power cable with USB since all new vehicles has USB. The cable is well made and i have had zero issues with it working or overheating. The only downside is i loose the ability to mute the radar detector like the OEM cable had but for a detector power cable is functions just fine.
