I had an issue where motor sudden was stuck trimming UP (out of water!), and pressing down trim switch (on side of throttle & on side of engine), would NOT trim motor DOWN (into water!) I replaced BOTH relays with these from Amazon, and problem was resolved. Easy fix. Snap old ones out, snap new ones in. Back on the water in 2-days! 2003 Mercury 125hp EXLPTO.

These relays work perfectly and are identical to the original parts. It is highly recommended to replace them in pairs. FYI, these relays are compatible with many more Mercury outboards than the product description seems to indicate. My engine is a 2003 175 Mercury Optimax, which is not listed in the description, it would fit all 2.5 and 2.0 Optis. Confirm compatibility with Mercury. Mercury/Quicksilver part number is: 882751

Had one relay go out on 2007 Optimax (trim would go up but not down). Easy replacement and works good as new now. Replaced both as recommended by most people on other sites.

This worked perfectly on my 1999 225 HP Mercury outboard. It replaced Siemens part number VF4-35f11-Z07.
