Fit my Mercruiser Alpha one Gen 2 perfect! Great price, great fit! OEM part. The one I received was a sealed and non greaseable as opposed to the original greaseable version. Still happy with it and the bearing will outlast the boat by far.

Merc OEM parts are quality parts – there is a difference…..

The bearing housing did not have the grease port drilled. I ended up having to use the old housing. The bearing is an SKF brand which I know and trust, but not having the grease port was a big let down. I wanted to install all parts, and not some old/new hybrid. My old gimbal housing is in good usable condition, but that’s not the point.

Part was good quality. Amazon package was poor. Bearing obviously got dropped several times.

We have a 25 foot sea ray, and I have had to replace the gimbal bearing twice because of failure. I was a certified MerCruiser mechanic, and I know how difficult it is to change your own gimbal bearing. Specialty tools are needed and it could be very frustrating. If you know anything about out drives, the grease fitting hole on the bearing has to exactly line up with the Zirk on the outside of the gimbal housing. I got tired of greasing it, so I decided to go with a greaseless gimbal bearing. I was always taught not to use sealed bearings, but since it was a quick silver product, I thought that I would use it. They also supply a dummy grease zirk to exchange so no one can grease it. My wife and I spent the entire summer on the boat without any incident. It feels good knowing that I don’t have to service that bearing especially considering that it’s almost impossible to do it when it’s in the water. Good luck and give it a shot.
