Original Canam pump was blowing 5 amp fuses about 1 year ago, got it to run with 7.5 amp. Last week started to blow 7.5 amp, would only run on a 10 amp. Not good! Checked fuel pressure on old pump , 39 psi at idle and 18 psi under full load. Started hard and ran terrible when you put your foot into it.
HFP pump arrived same day. Installed, fuel pressure is 45 psi idle and full load.
Reinstalled original stock 5 amp fuse runs great.
Canam service manual states pressure should be 50 psi +/- 1.
It starts and runs amazing with the HFP pump. So not sure about the missing 5 psi pressure.
HFP include a new tank seal and new pressure regulator. Lifetime warranty… Awesome deal in my mind.

I installed the pump with the regulator and tested it with a fuel pump tester. The pump will only put out 20 psig. I tried to run the atv and it would crank but ran badly. I pulled the assembly apart again looking for misfits and none were found. Installed the old regulator and again only 20 psig. I ordered a complete unit and will try that.

Pump has been in a for a week and it works fine, but ever since it went in my gas gauge has been screwed up. It doesn’t read higher than 3/4 tank when the tank is full and sometimes when I turn it on it will read completely empty even though it’s a full tank. Didn’t realize what a cheap pump it was when I bought it. I hope it lasts a while.

Perfect fit. Easy install. The only reason I’m rating it 4 stars is because it kept blowing the original 5 amp fuse after install. I did some digging and found that people had to go up to 7.5 amp fuse. Swapped it with a 7.5, and it’s now perfect.

Had a difficult time removing OEM pump from sending unit housing so I could install the new HFP-382-CA in my Can Am Commander Max. The first call to HFP was not very helpful, but I received a return call from their lead “tech” who gave me some better advice on removing the OEM. We did need to go back and forth with some photos to make sure we were in agreement on the procedure, but I really appreciated his enthusiasm and willingness to assist me.

Works perfectly!!!! 2014 Maverick XRSDPS would run fine for a couple of hours then with no warning lose power and die, restart then die, over and over again, no codes no nothing, dealer wanted me to bring it in, I’m sure it would have cost me a small fortune, they only sell the whole sending unit at over $450,00. Took a chance on this, hoping it would fix it. It was easy to change out, and as soon as I turned the key I could hear the difference and knew it was the original pump that was going out. If your Can Am is sputtering and not throwing any codes(they do not have a fuel pressure sensor so no way to tell the computer there is a problem) then get this immediately, you won’t regret it.
