This was a snug fit when I installed it and I appreciate that. It filters odor in addition to cleaning the air that passes through and the cost was less than I could find anywhere else. The reason I reduced stars for the install was because Ford does not make installation easy. Installing the filter itself is no problem.

Compared to my last cabin filter, this one was a bit tougher to install since the sides are very flimsy. This is for a ’14 ford fusion just fyi…it finally fit in after some playing around and it seems to be filtering air. The flow doesnt seem to be impeded much at all so a plus.

I have learned to replace this every 6mos and it needs it every time. I had thought that the old musty smells in my 2017 Fusion were just because it was getting older. Turns out all it needed was a new cabin air filter. It is a bit of a PITA to replace, but every time I do I can smell the difference immediately. When comparing the old with the new it is obvious it has been collecting and trapping all sorts of dirt and debris. Once the new one is in the inside air smells clean and fresh again. I only drive about 6k miles a year and if I drove more I would consider replacing it even more frequently.

I got this new Purolator BOSS cabin air filter and couldn’t be happier that it arrived right before the recent pollen storm. See the picture when I opened the box – really looks premium. They also added a QR code that links directly to an installation video specifically showing how to change the filter at my Ford Edge. Super helpful. Driving since 4 days now and the cabin smell is definitely more neutral compared to the installed filter (I guess it was still the factory).

I’ve just installed my second “Boss” filter on my 2019 ford fusion. Amazon says it won’t fit, but it’s the correct model, even Purolator says this is the model for my fusion. You can’t buy a better filter for the price and function in my opinion, and I’ve used the ford OEM model. This filter does an excellent job at removing road dust and pollen. It also does a greateat job at removing orders and exhaust fumes from other cars.
This filter will only last about 12 months time. I’ve replaced at 12 month intervals and at 12 months the filter is visible full of contaminants and order is starting to get past the filter. If orders start to get thru, it’s time to change the filter. The filter let’s you know worth your nose.

Apparently 2017 Lincoln Navigators do not have a cabin filter. Amazon eludes to the fact that it does fit and gives location but it is not true.
