Incredible Oil Filter for vehicles.
Thanks to me fellow brothers who left reviews I purchased 2 of these for my application and much to my major disappointment the threads of the Patch Trap / Liquid Catch Aluminum Oil Filter Adapter fell right through. Never even touched the threads of this filter. Now I’m back to spilling oil all over the wife’s dining room table when I clean. The two inch solvent washer does not even block the holes. Bummed out.

As it is white I left the clear shrink wrap on it and just cut a hole out around the threaded insert point. This will help keep the outside of it clean. The threaded insert point is13/16 x 16threads per inch. Almost every large filter can I know of is the large size threaded insert. It also seems that all the small filters use the 3/4 x 16 then you can use the 1/2 in for the 5.56 and the 5/8 for the 7.62 x 39
I now have a yellow CAT a black Wic a white Purolator a blue GM delco and an Orange Fram I have yet to have any problem putting a hole in the bottom to let the solvent drain out either. Course I do that dry not wet.I screw the barrel in and then put a cleaning rod down through the barrel and all. Shoot folks this is easy as can be right just use your head right. we all need a hat rack for our hats.

Working just fine. I’ve used the brand before and this is no different. I think the price is about the same as in the store without the hassel of going there.

No regrets, this is a great way too add an extra quart of oil + double the size of your filter for only a couple extra bucks! If your looking too extend your oil drain times this is the filter for you. Its also a great way to reduce the pressure drop (because of twice the media) these should flow better than a standard filter. Only one draw back, if your exhaust is within a couple inches of the filter this may be a problem. I have a hot rod Truck with fender well headers so its no problem with me. The quality/value/price for the Purolator classic filters can’t be beat! Now if your listening Purolator please make this size in the PurOne line!!

I put this on my 1997 K2500HD 6.5 diesel. I have the 90 degree adapter and this filter fits no problem, but it is not anti-drain back which is a disappointment. I emailed purolator and never heard back. I was glad to get an extra qt, so now up to 8 qts.

great filter, not only will it fit my Chevy but it makes a great solvent trap with plenty of capacity to hold fluids.
