Quality appears to be spot on with the OEM. Number of pleats and density of the material look to be exactly the same. Installation went as expected and it fit perfectly. Clean cabin air 🙂
Hardest part of the job is getting the glovebox empty, pulled down and reinstalled. You CAN do it yourself.

I really like this Cabin Air Filter for my 2018 Subaru Forester. My AC works very well and it seems it works better now. I get that the filter is clean but I remember when my filter was last replaced and it wasn’t this noticeable of a difference. The price is great. The ease of installation and replacement was appreciated. No issues to report.

I change my cabin air and air filters every 12 months so if you buy a quality, name brand filter it should do a very decent job for that amount of time….and Purolator is a very good quality brand. Very happy with the purchase. Beats the price you would pay for a Subaru Cabin Air Filter. Highly recommend!

Here is the perfect formula for pissing off your customers. (1) Make an air filter with a very thin, flimsy plastic ridge (2) place this filter in a box made of the cheapest, flimsiest cardboard you can find (3) ship this error waiting to happen in an envelope rather than a box (4) charge more than $20 for this.
This is the second one that I ordered and each came with the plastic frame broken in just about the same spot.
This is really bad quality on so many levels.

Boy am I glad I did this. We had a musty smell coming from the vents when we got our Crosstrek. Swapped this new cabin filter in and the smell is gone.
Install is super easy. You just push in gently on the sides of the glovebox (it’ll make sense once you open the glovebox and see how it sits in there) and let it rotate downward and out of the way. This exposes the plastic end of the filter. Pinch the tabs toward each other a bit and it slides out. Pull it out slowly because yours will probably be caked in junk like ours was.
I slipped my phone in and took a picture to see if there was any debris inside that’d make noise when the fan is turned back on and was able to reach in to grab it. You could probably vacuum it if you needed.
Then, just slip the new filter in until it clicks in place, put your glove box back in place and you’re done! The whole thing took me less than 5 minutes.

Fits my 2017 Subaru Crosstrek perfectly. Seems to be a good quality filter and has held up for 16000 miles. Some filters are so low quality that they collapse or tear in use. The filter media seems a little papery, which makes me question the holding capacity. It does have a lot of pleats and is as pictured in this listing. Stamped Made in South Korea.

easy to install but that is the car, not the filter. Way cheaper than local parts stores and its a perfect fit. Makes a big difference right off. I’d replace it every year or so at this price.
