Zandy –
Got pretty dirty pretty fast and it almost ruined my engine. It’s made in China not the USA

This filter works well on my 2012 Avalon.
RTICH –
Have used this item for the past few years for our Avalon and change the air filters myself. Easy, good price and quality and something that should not be missed in caring for your car. SImple!
Brad –
I have purchased this model several times in the past and it has always been very high quality. I keep going to this model for all of my cars.

The Purolator filter is made in China where there is a sealing band of silicon around the edge that mates with the air box. The OEM filter simply a stiff plastic material that sits on the air box. Another difference, which likely is a positive, is that the Purolator appears to have more surface area (more folds) with respect to the Toyota / Denso filter.
Time will tell how this filter works out. Will update my review if I have to resort to buying the OEM’s filter.

This appears to be a very good filter. The problem I found with this was the rubber gasket around the parameter is far too thick to fit in the airbox on the vehicle I was installing it in (2011 Toyota Camry XLE 3.5L V6). It is supposed to fit this vehicle, might fit other cars and trucks like others have stated but it won’t fit mine. It will go in and set in the grooves but the thickness of the gasket prevents it from closing. I managed to get 2 of the spring clips to close but they popped right back open again. This was not the first time I have replaced the filter and the original and the other replacement filters did not have this huge gasket on the outer edge.

Well made and durable appearance at a decent price. I will use next time it’s due for changing.
