This product works about the same as soapy water.
I followed the instructions:
(1) I wet the wheels before applying PROJE’ Premium Car Care Wheel Cleaner.
(2) After saturating the wheels with this wheel cleaner, I let it sit for about 5 minutes and then sprayed it down with a hose. Result: There was no difference from before I sprayed it.
(3) I saturated the wheels a second time with PROJE’ Premium Car Care Wheel Cleaner, let it sit for about 5 minutes, and then wiped the wheels down with a microfiber cloth. Result: It definitely helped to wipe them down, but the tougher, dirtier areas in the nooks and crannies of the wheels did not come clean.
Note: On one wheel, I just used car wash soap to wet the wheel and wiped it down with a microfiber cloth. I had the same exact result as when I used PROJE’ Premium Car Care Wheel Cleaner.
(4) Even after a third application and another wipe, I could not clean these dirty areas in the corners of the wheels.
Full disclosure: It’s recommended to use a pressure hose to clean the wheels after applying this product. I do not have a pressure washer, so I simply sprayed it down with a garden hose, which may not have had a strong enough spray to dislodge the brake dust.
On the positive side, this PROJE’ Premium Car Care Wheel Cleaner smells good. It also made it slightly easier to wipe down the wheels than water alone. However, it was not any better than simply using car wash soap.

This product didn’t do much to the grime on my wheels and tires. I kept spraying to cover all four of my tires and I pretty much used up the whole bottle on one wash. The bottle kept sucking in making it harder to spray as I kept washing. I definitely did not enjoy using this product and it was ineffective. I don’t recommend it. Next time I’m using something else.

I must admit that I don’t put a great deal of effort into washing my car anymore. The landscapers come during the week and blow debris all over it. My neighbor’s crepe myrtle is too tall to trim now in any way. That said, any rain results in hard water spots due to the leaves. Don’t get me started on the sap! The only reprieve that I get from it is rain, so why bother washing it? I recently changed all of my brake pads/rotors. As a result, brake dust is another matter which to deal. I do try to wash it as least once a month to refresh the wax. Seeing it as an effort in futility, I half-heartedly wiped off the rims. To my great pleasure, the wiped spots have no build up of brake dust! I will be more diligent in cleaning as I am changing all four rims due to them being bent (not of my doing) versus getting them repaired. I will actually use my rim brush with this cleaner to keep them looking good!

I love how it smells, hours later could still smell it. (Cinnamon smell) However I wasn’t that impressed with the cleaner itself.

Honestly, I wasn’t super impressed with this Proje wheel cleaner. I have tried some other things in their line of car care and have liked them, but I found this cleaner to be underwhelming especially for the price. It definitely did not hurt and does give a very general clean but I didn’t find that it really pulled off brake dust and grime as well as the Meguiars that I use most frequently. I will say it smells fantastic (like cinnamon) and is definitely pleasant to work with since it doesn’t have that toxic smell that others have. It doesn’t foam up super well and I had to use a bit more than I expected to get more coverage. It does help to use a wheel brush to agitate the solution and that seems to improve the cleaning. However, it does a decent job for regular cleanings. In my opinion, it wouldn’t be the best for any deep grime.

There isn’t alot you can say about wheel cleaner. It works or it doesn’t. This: works.
The main pic didn’t show a spray nozzle when I got it, but I was happy to see it included in the shrinkwrap.
Another reviewer was unhappy that elbow grease and a brush were required, I wasn’t. The cleaner’s job is to loosen the gunk so the brush can remove it and the water can wash the area clean. It did that just fine.
I like that it didn’t use as much solution per spray as another iron remover I’ve tried. I also like that the PH is neutral, so I don’t have to worry about it hitting painted finishes.

This cleaner attacked the gunk and brake dust on my wheels and got the wheel brush really dirty, so it works. It didn’t get the corners pristine the first go so I’m going to hit them again and also use an old tooth brush for the corners to get a little more scrubbing. I had ‘cleaned’ my wheels last week with a ‘normal’ wheel cleaner and this product did so much better.
I did have a problem though: The first squeeze with the spray pump and it fell to pieces in my hand. Since this is on the higher end of price for wheel cleaner, I did expect more from the pump than that. So I poured the cleaner on the brush and applied it that way. I’m going to be using this up a lot faster because of that or until I empty another spray bottle I can use.
