A little is all you need, absolutely makes stiff aging leather softer and more pliable, enhanced the black of my dressage saddle. Does make the saddle sticky, but if your horse is naughty you might prefer this. Doesn’t add shine if your looking for polished. I did pair it with leather wash. You dont need a huge bottle of this, it goes a long way. I put it on a sponge rubbed it all over, waited twenty minutes and wiped off access with dry cloth.

I was amazed by this product. I used it on a black handbag that had a matte finish and was looking old and shabby. I really thought I should get a new bag, but the COACH bag I had is such good quality and was so pricey that I thought I would try this product and see. I used it as described on the bottle and my back now looks like it was when I first bought it. Really thrilled! I also then used it on my Clark leather boots and they look new too!
If you have good quality leather goods, this product is so worth it to restore their glory and help you keep them longer!

Old leather sucks it up. It’s very runny, easy to apply, absorbs quickly, buffs in well. I don’t see much difference between this and the homemade beeswax concoction that I ran out of – except the cost – and the homemade is more versatile, since I can use it on wood and metal. Will go back to that.

I realize this is for horse saddles but I used this on my leather couch as suggested by the manufacturer. It was a bit intimidating at first (colour felt almost a bit green in some areas), but this stuff really works. Images added are a few minutes after drying, but given a few days, it looks nearly new.

I love this product! It’s not too thick so it soaks into my sponges and leather very easily. I see no discoloration in any of my tack. Since cleaning and conditioning with leather therapy products my tack has not mildew at all, while the rest of the saddles in the tack room are moldy. The leather is soft and beautiful again. I have oiled 6 saddles and 4 bridles and still have at leats a half a bottle left over. A little goes a long way.
I used the leather therapy spray cleaner, and a quality glycerin soap and warm water. The glycerin soap on smooth areas and the leather therapy spray on the tooled areas. Then sponged on leather therapy oil and let sit inside my home or tack room over night. They look n feel great. I will be a lifelong customer of these products.

I bought this product to try to prevent mold on a couple pieces of tack that seemed very prone to developing it. I applied this product after cleaning with a pH balanced cleaner (Lexol). Then put this on after everything was dry. I am not sure if this product is what caused the mold to stop developing, or the fact that I started storing the tack inside, but everything I’ve treated with this product has been mold free since application. Even leather that habitually was growing mold just a couple weeks after a deep mold clean with a different anti-mold product.
As for conditioning, I put this product on a couple sets of identical english laced reins (for bridles I let my guests putz around in and don’t see much use). The reins were new and stiff. I usually use a different deep conditioning product that’s a little harder to apply, but since these reins weren’t going to get a ton of use, I decided to apply this, as it’s easier to use. I tossed a thin coat of Leather Therapy on both sets of reins, rubbed it in, then let them sit for a few hours. After, I wiped them down and did one more light coat before letting them sit overnight. I wiped down one set of reins the next morning. It was much softer. Passable. Not perfect. Had I been using it, I would’ve gone for one more light coat. But since it was for the guests, I decided it was fine. Before I could get the second set of reins wiped down, we had an emergency and I ended up leaving the other pair of reins sitting for three days with the light coat of Leather Therapy on them. Came back to them to find that this second pair of reins, identical in every way to the other set, were perfectly conditioned and could’ve passed for a much higher quality product. They weren’t weeping oil when dry, they weren’t tacky, they were no longer stiff and cheap feeling. It appears that this product works superbly when allowed a good soak time. And due to ease of application, it will move to the top of my list when it comes time to deep condition going forward!

An English friend of mine, who manufacturers high quality saddles in England, once told me to use nothing but pure neatsfoot oil on American tanned leathers and nothing but Leather Therapy on European tanned leathers. I have followed his advice for 30 years and have never regretted it. This product works well, especially on oil-starved dry leather. Use it sparingly! Several light coats are much better than one heavy one, as once the leather has sufficiant oil in its pores, it will no longer absorb Leather Therapy. When this occurs, you must wipe the excess off before it dries into a sticky mess on the surface. (Once dried, the sticky mess is easily removed with a good quality leather cleaner.) This product costs a bit more than the more well-known products, but it is well worth the money.
