The calipers seem to be of good quality. However, there were put together wrong. On the left-rear caliper, the lever that is attached to the emergency brake cable was actually the lever from the right-rear caliper. The right-rear caliper had the correct lever but there was no way to make the left-rear emergency brake cable stay in place. It seems that the levers are pressure fitted, so there was no way I could remove it without damaging the caliper. If I could have removed it, then I would have used the lever from my old caliper. I hope this is a one-off and not an example of their quality control.

I bought these for my first VW vehicle. Being a mechanic and knowing this car doesn’t play well with aftermarket parts, I must say after 1,000 miles thus far I am impressed. Unboxing and comparing them to the OEM calipers that were on the car, they appear to be identical in construction as far as the exterior of the product. Obviously replacing rear calipers on a 16 year old car with aftermarket calipers was a bit unnerving, but with oem caliper in excess of 300.00 I was willing to take the chance, and installed so far so good. Mounting surfaces were identical, bolt holes lines up perfect, brake lines fit fine. Will they last 16 years , I don’t know, but after some pretty harsh driving in the rotor brake in, and a couple thousand miles since, I can say so far so good. Once again Amazon surprised me, they have it all!!! Kudos!!

Fit and function perfect , for a fraction of the cost from any local auto parts stores. As long as your orginal brackets are in good shape and sliders are not seized up, this it definitely the way to replace 20 year old calipers

Seals on the OE caliper pistons had failed. So rusty they bent the wind back tool and the traditional “C” clamp could not shift it. No time for a full rebuild. New versus rebuilt old? At the price I paid for these new that would have been a false economy. What with labor added I’m sure new was the best route. And I was not wrong. These were a joy to work with. Installed quick, both sides. Needed a new hose on the drivers side and it still took less then 90 minutes. Not including prep and clean up time. Keep in mind I’m just a shade tree mechanic without a lift. In the cold Midwest. If you can’t see your breath, you’re not work hard enough.

They worked good, had some seized old ones so I swapped these out. Fraction of the price of oem ones and if I get a couple years I’ll be happy. I’d recommend getting new parking brake clips. Had good success with A-Premium

I bought rotors and pads as a kit (different brand) but when we went to install them, we could not retract the pistons on the original calipers. I wanted to buy same brand calipers as the rotors/pads but they are out of stock, so I decided to buy some inexpensive calipers to hold me over until “the good ones” are available, and found these. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of these calipers and will probably skip buying “the good ones” now. (Note to self: next time just purchase the whole kit including the calipers, rotors, pads and hardware. For the amount of money you save by installing yourself, I think it’s worth it.)
