Just put in on last night due to my starter going out on me. Was a bit frustrating to get it to go where it needs to (very confined space) but I got it in. Starts the truck with half the effort and time it used to take. Hopefully it lasts a while. I took pictures of the original starter next to this one and they seem identical.
One issue I had is I couldn’t get the pig tail to clip back onto the new starter. I tried to zip tie it with no luck. I put it on really snug and wasn’t able to wiggle it loose so it’s good for right now. Not sure if that’s an issue with the starter or my pig tail. Either way, truck is up and running again for much less than the cost of an oem starter.

I bought this starter because it was almost $200 cheaper than a reman one from my local auto parts store. After about an hour of installing it, first time starting the truck the starter made a huge whining noise as it cranked so I shut it off. I tried it again, same thing happened. I then double checked to make sure everything was hooked up and aligned properly but even if it wasn’t there is no way to adjust it. I went ahead and tried to start it for a third time and it would just spin but not engage the flywheel to try and start the truck at all. I ended up just going and buying a reman starter for around $300 bucks that came with a lifetime warranty so to me, just save your money and buy a better quality starter especially one with a lifetime warranty.

Fit perfect, a bit easier to install than the original just based on the nut for power from the battery. Looks a little bit different than the OEM but functions the same and mounted up just fine. Truck runs great and starts up without issues. I installed this in a 2015 Silverado 1500 LTZ with the 5.3L V8.

The starter last me 3 weeks , my pickup broke down againg. I can’t move my pickup. The starter it start squealing really bad noise I hope my fly wheel still good, I won’t recommend this store

Starter came in the mail in one day. This starter is $85 vs $300 to $400 at a parts store. The change out was very easy(take your front passenger wheel and wheel cover off) and didn’t take much time. The starter works great. The last starter I put on this 2017 Silverado only lasted about 3 years and it was several hundred dollars. It never turned the engine over as quick as this new starter.

had no problem replacing this starter on a 2016 chev silverado 5.7 exact fit on plug ins and bolted on easily and for the price ? compared to a name brand on a high mileage vehicle its worth the cost and price as the job only took 20 mins to replace
