This shifter switch was installed in a Fisher Price Power Wheels Dune Racer. Installation required taking the car apart and several screws. Make sure to take a photo of the plug direction before removing the old shifter. This is a great purchase to bring your car back to life.
We also needed to replace the left rear drive motor. If your vehicle does not work in both forward and reverse, the problem could be a broken drive motor and not the shifter.

Our old controller was sticking and not shifting properly. I installed this and it worked well, but there was a minor issue. The screw that holds the pieces together was too long and it interfered with the stalk moving when fully tightened. I just backed the screw out and it worked well. I will probably grind it down by 1/8″ to 3/16″ and reinstall this winter.
