You gotta have skillz to install this with the pulley attached to the pump. But if you can do it without having to remove the pulley to torque the power steering bolts/nuts then the pulley is already torqued, and it’s one less step to have to do. Pump is like butta if you do it right. I also changed the long reservoir to pump hose and short reservoir to return line hose. That one was actually super hard and cracked underneath. It wasn’t even a hose anymore. It was a fossil. The two remaining return line hoses still had life because they live behind a protective plate that needs to be removed to access them, and the high pressure hose still looked good. But those two hoses I changed and the pump were leaking like crazy and causing my customer all kinds of problems. The pump made a lot of noise, too, and was splattering power steering fluid everywhere. It’s clean and dry now, and super smooth. My customer loves it! And the shiny new pump and pulley spruce up the engine bay.
