The original latch’s plastic coating disintegrated causing a “door open” error and locking issues. This was apparently a known problem as I found a Hyundai service bulletin for replacing this online. This was extremely helpful since the steps were fairly complicated and the you tube vids that came up first were a little confusing. So the new latch fixed the problem and I probably saved a lot of $$$ by not taking it to the dealer. (Unless, of course they were still supposed to be doing it for free – I didn’t bother to check since I don’t like my local dealer.) Time will tell if it lasts longer than I own the car…

I installed it myself. It works well.

Would have gave it 5 stars if it came with instructions on how to install it

Quedó muy bien la cerradura

I noticed that when I open and close the door from the inside handle that the lock feels clunky like it did when the OEM was starting to fail.
I took the panel off and checked the cables they seem to be working fine. When the door is shut it doesn’t close the first time on 30% of tries and when the door is opened from the driver seat, the lock makes a noise and feels similarly loose like the failed OEM lock.
It is nice that this does work, no more half closed lock and the door ajar light is not draining the battery anymore, but its only been a couple weeks since I installed it. I will update if anything happens.

A pain in the ass to install, but that’s not the parts fault. Good quality.

Fit and swapped perfectly on both front doors. Not manufacturer stamped and molds were a little different but spot on for all critical dimensions. Functioned great. We will see how long they last, it’s only been about a week for me but so far so good!

My Santa Fe Sport was saying the passenger door was open when closed and the interior light was on. I replaced the door lock actuator and it fixed the issue. It has been about a month since I did this and so far working well. It looks just as good as the original to me and was not hard to do once I found the right YouTube video.
