Lost Pathfinder –
I have tried everything to make a camping experience better when it comes to electrical needs like charging portable devices. I have tried solar power, but it takes forever to build enough charge for it to actually be useful. What I like about this is that it can be installed in a vehicle or used as a stand alone panel at a job site, for example. Since it is 12v, you just need an old car battery to connect and give it power and you now have several different charging ports and everything is fused so you don’t have to worry about surges. It does have some limitations though. For example, it comes with USB ports which is great, but I wish it had plugs as well to run power tools and looking online, it doesn’t look like that is an option. Given that there are 2 connections for batteries, it would give you 24v which is enough to run power tools for a while where you may not have electricity. So for now, it is perfect to run items with USB connections but not with items that require more power to run like drills or even a television.

A few things to consider. First off it seems well made. secure connections and metal is thick enought for its tasks. 6 Ga wire inside for the battery connectors (including quick disconnect so order accordingly). Things to consider is the TWO quick disconnects on the side, those run TWO different funtions. In other words BOTH need to go to battery in order for everything to work. It is split in half. I MIGHT jump the BUSS and have ONE run BOTH but I am only using this for low voltage wires an camera. No winch, generator or impact tools. For my application it will work. I will post when it is together and mounted but for now, looks good. I should point out there is a toggle switch on top that controls the 5 cigarette connectors (some are USB some are 12v cigarette connectors) that is seperate from the battery on / off switch.
