This mount feels well-made and comes with everything needed for setup, including alcohol wipes, extra adhesive pads, and magnetic rings for non-MagSafe phones. Doesn’t work incredibly well. Struggled to stick in the car both on the slight texture of the dashboard and the glossy surface by the GPS display. Maybe it was because it was a funny day but the mount alone was peeling off seemingly due to the heat without a phone attached at all (no added weight).
It comes with a second sticker so I will try again on a cooler/less sunny day and hope for better results.

Very impressed by how strong the magnets are in this mount. It holds my phone firmly in place and takes a good pull to remove it. The fit and finish of the phone holder is quite high – the plastics feel strong and durable, they’re well finished without any sharp edges, and the matte finish lets it blend in with your dash without annoying sun glare. The ball-joint adjustment tightens down well and hasn’t loosened up at all so far. The package includes attachments that let you use this with non-magnetic phone cases, which is a great addition. The holder is working great and I’m very pleased with it!

This is the first phone mount I’ve seen that takes into account how most surfaces in a car are, in fact, curved. As such, it does a great job sticking to those surfaces, giving you more freedom as to where you’d like to place your phone. The MagSafe is extremely strong, and as long as the joint is tightened, it has no problem holding your phone and allowing for position adjustments. Just make sure to listen to the instructions – when they say “wait 24 hours before using,” that’s extremely important. Otherwise, the magnetic force when you remove your phone can result in the mount popping off. Just wait overnight for the glue to properly bond and you’ll be good.

This magsafe mount was a great solution for my car. I was using the mount that screws onto an air vent blade and they were never as tight as I wanted. This mount has 3m VHB adhesive that I just stuck to the dash, and then the magnetic mount goes onto that. The adhesive seems to be strong so far, and the magnets on the mount are very strong! Note that this mount does not actually charge your phone. The ball mount is a standard 17mm size that many mounts already use, so if you have a magsafe charger, you might be able to stick it onto this ball mount as I did.

This is a review for the Pop-tech store brand of a MagSafe Car Mount magnetic phone holder. It is an innovative design in that the base is bendable to fit contoured dashboards and doesn’t require a flat surface. The unit is made of plastic for it to be more bendable. I prefer metal for longevity, but this seems sturdy enough to last probably longer than I would even need, and has potential to be more universal in fitting many more car makes and models. I like the swivel and tilt capabilities, and the magnetic strength is strong. The product includes 2 magnetic rings and instructions for those with phones/cases that are not already magsafe friendly. Overall, a decent unit.

Good Basic holder. The flex points are useful for more rounded surface and can sit totally flat as well. The Magnet is strong but the ball-joint continues to swivel a bit after tightening as much as possible before cracking the plastic. I do like that it comes with 3M branded double sided pads. It does come with extra sticky pads plus other little items that could be useful. The value is questionable.

This product requires waiting 24 hours once removing the backing and sticking it to a clean, dry surface, before applying your phone to it, for it adhere properly. It thoughtfully came with an alcohol wipe so you don’t have to think about gathering and taking cleaning spray and/or soap, water and rag to your car, which would have to be brought back inside again.
I chose this car phone mount for the fact that the bottom adhesive area is very thin and rectangular, and in my car, that’s about the only area I have available: a large surface or large circular round one (or vent mount) would not have worked.
I already have the apple iphone case that has magnets within it, so I didn’t need to stick any magnets to my case or phone.
It did come with extra round magnets as well as an extra thin rectangular adhesive in case you need to readjust. So far, so good!
Neither the phone nor the mount has ever fallen once placed, and the powerful magnets hold the phone tightly in place, while a nut right under the circular mount can be set at the very beginning (just tightening it once is all that’s needed) to the speed of adjustment that you want; of course, you can always loosen or tighten the nut later if desired so you can move the angle of the circle around in 360 degrees faster or slower…but I like the stiffness that it’s at for adjusting easily, and haven’t needed to tighten or loosen the nut again yet. I have no fear of the phone falling: it’s very secure.
For the record: I’ve removed mounts like this before without damage to the vehicle by pulling on it hard enough
(if you had a portable hair blow dryer that charges in the car – yes, these do exist – then applying enough heat to the base would also work). Recommended!

Finding a reliable phone mount with a small enough base footprint for my vehicle has always been a struggle. After all this time, this mount addresses my needs perfectly. Small enough to place on my dash without interfering with access to any of my controls, but strong enough to support my phone perfectly in place. The best feature is the base, though. A lot of versions that I’ve tried in the past have a rigid base, making them unstable on my curved and rounded dash. This mount is designed perfectly to address that, in that the base is segregated so that it can wrap around curves and edges, making a strong and secure bond, even in full-on Texas heat.
The magnet is incredibly strong and secure (maybe even a touch too strong) and once mounted, my phone doesn’t budge.
This is the perfect MagSafe mount for people with challenging or limited dashboard space looking for a reliable way to secure their phone.
