I like that this phone mount is a vent mount. There isn’t much for flat smooth surface on the dash of my Kia Optima. It was really easy to put together and install. Once securely mounted it holds your phone well!

I got this to use in my car to try out a pop-socket on my phone.
Pros
It holds well enough to the vent louver. The ratchet system to extend and retract the hook to attach to the vent louver feels like it holds securely enough.
The mount where the pop-socket fits into works as intended.
Cons
It doesn’t hold the phone by the pop-socket very securely. Unless the pop-socket was connected to the phone at its center of mass, the phone will start spinning around while driving.
Overall, it does the trick for a place to put your phone while driving, but it doesn’t exactly hold it securely. I tried putting some electrical tape in the holder to help keep the phone from spinning too much.

The mount is easy to install and holds my phone securely while driving but also makes it easy to remove. The design fits Pop Sockets well, making it convenient to quickly mount and dismount the phone. The swivel ball joint allows for a good range of motion, making it easy to adjust the viewing angle. Interestingly, I found that the ball joint on this mount fits another phone mount I previously bought for my car, which was a pleasant surprise and could be useful for swapping between mounts which I ended up doing. The metal clip that attaches the mount to the car vent feels quite flimsy, like it doesn’t attach as securely as it should. Seems like it might not last long with regular use so I didn’t risk it. Like another reviewer said, the mount head itself is rather chunky.
Overall, despite the few drawbacks, the mount performs its primary function well. If you’re okay with a less sturdy clip and a bulkier design, this could still be a practical choice for keeping your phone accessible and secure while driving.

This device is intended to be used with a PopGrip (not included) which is one of those things that attaches to the back of your phone, expands and then you can attach your phone to your dash. Typically, you will get a small adhesive mount with your PopGrip. This vent mount will allow you to have a sturdy mount, instead of an adhesive mount.
I like the design of this mount. It has a mechanical claw which extends and is retractable so it will pretty well accommodate any size or type of vent. This claw has a hook on the end so that when you tighten it, it remains secure. This mount goes one better because it has what looks like a tripod on it and when you tighten the claw, the feet of the tripod rest against your dash or vent area for a very secure grip. This way the weight of your device is not entirely on one of the rungs of your vent louver.
My actual use is a little bit different. I am using it for an Apple CarPlay display unit (see photo). This CarPlay display is somewhat bigger and heavier than a mobile phone. My CarPlay display came with a removable stand with an adhesive but I did not want to mar my dash so I have been looking for an alternative. When I unscrew the stand, there is actually a protruding screw which allows my CarPlay device to adjust and/or rotate. This did not give me the opportunity to even try it with a PopGrip but lo and behold, the device fits perfectly on the mount without a need for a PopGrip in my case.
The mount comes in two sections. You just basically snap one into the other and then use the locking screw to secure it.
While this device does not come with a PopGrip. it does come with two 3M adhesives which you can use for your own provided PopGrip. It also comes with an alcohol prep pad.
The only thing missing is the actual PopGrip but you can get these pretty much anywhere.
I would highly recommend this mount. I was able to improvise and get it to work with my larger and heavier Apple CarPlay display. It will certainly work great for a smaller mobile phone.

The phone holder was cheap and didn’t fit my ac vent. I threw it in the garbage.

I’m still using this months after buying it. Its very straight forward on how the design works. I will warn you to not tighten the airvent hook too much or you could damage the ac vent because of the tension. other than that this is a good by.
