The cabin filter has to be the simplest of air filters. It will filter dust, pollen and more. It will give you fresh interior air. Located in your glove box, removing an old one and installing a new one is one of the easiest do-it-yourself jobs and will save you lots of money if you don’t elect to have it done at the dealership or other vehicle service centre when you are having your oil changed at the same time. Like other filters for your vehicle, they are model and year specific so ensure you get the right one for your vehicle. Older model vehicles may not have one.
You are unlikely to notice any difference between this one or any generic model and the OEM product so save yourself some money.
This PHILTOP cabin filter replaces my existing one in a 2017 Elantra. You do get an instruction pamphlet if you need to refer to it.
I recommend this cabin filter.

The OE filter is flexible to support installation closest to the firewall.
These filters are stiff and very rigid so installing these into the slot closest to the firewall will require you to compromise the filter by bending it…which sort of puts a crease in the side of the filter…and makes it super hard to push it up into the cavity….which totally distorts the whole filter.
One side of the filter has carbon on it. The other side of my filters has no carbon, while other brands and OE have a LOT of active carbon on both sides of the filter.
Would I buy this brand again? Probably not. I prefer the filters that have flexible edges and a bit more active carbon.
