To Protect the Innocent –
I have installed this twice in my VW Touareg. Once 9 months ago, and again recently. I found that surprisingly, the old filter was pretty dirty, and it definitely needed to be changed. It had a few bits of grit, but mostly just darkened by grey dust. It was very easy to install, but I needed a youtube video to learn the tricks of how to get at it. You need a Torx T5 for a few screws, and you need to know how to release the clips that hold it all together.
Having removed a VW Factory OEM filter the first time I did the filter replacement, I can say that this aftermarket filter is similar in quality and construction. I found that it’s NOT important whether it’s OEM or aftermarket, but what’s important is just that you REPLACE it. This filter can easily be overlooked if you get your oil-changes done at an independent shop, but rest assured, doing it yourself is quick and easy, and will save you lots of $. I’ve seen dealerships advertise the filter change for $99, which is ridiculous for a $12 part and a 10-minute job like this. Good luck.

There are some bad smells in my vehicle when the temperature went up, especially when I turn on the AC. Once I replaced the cabin air filter, all the smells are gone.
Also the quality looks great on this filer, the weight, and thickness of the covers looks great.

As many other filters I’ve come across on Amazon they say they fit in Porsche, but they aren’t nearly as deep. So they fit into the height and width of the air box, but they aren’t as deep and don’t sit in the slot properly like the OEM.

Ordered 2 as both my wife and I have Touareg TDIs..anyway only received one, messaged the seller, immediately responded and apologized, got the 2nd one shipped out and received to promptly. Everyone makes mistakes, its how we recover that matters! Changed both out yesterday, first took 15 minutes, 2nd one took 5! Great fit and based on what the old ones looked like, I’ll be changing these more often

Cabin filters is a BIG factor in me buying a vehicle. I love breathing clean fresh air in the vehicle. Same as the air conditioning system in your home, they definitely improve the quality of air.
So glad my vehicles use them. If the weren’t factory equipped, I would be looking into after market installation options. Love these filters.

Car filters are usually just the same cotton layered filters, but this one is much better! Definitely worth the small extra cost over generic ones. Fits perfectly as well
