I find Fast Orange Smooth to be a great overall mechanics hand cleaner. For me, it cleans my hands of grease, oil, paint (before it’s dry)+ paint thinners AND it makes my hands feel nice too because of the skin conditioning additives that are in it (like Aloe, Lanolin, Jojoba). Best of all, it smells of orange blossoms. Now that is a nice incentive and way better than another brand of hand cleaner that is made from petroleum distillates and left my hands smelling vaguely like gasoline. Note that this product is the SMOOTH version rather than the pumice version. The pumice version may or may not clean hands better but I don’t like the gritty feel so my vote goes to FAST ORANGE SMOOTH as the best hand cleaner bar none.

Good cleaner. I used orange cleaner a few years ago and the ones I bought were dense. This product was fluffy, like whipped, and only filled 3/4 of the container. But still a good product.

Does as advertised. This white cleaning cream gets all the grime from my hands and fingernails when I am working on cars or other dirty projects. Nice Orangey smell. Only suggestion, make the tub a bit easier to open, it takes a little prying.

This is a nice natural product that cleans as promises. I use it for my hands after oil painting. I also clean my brushes with it after using turpenoid to recondition and reshape the brushes. I use a cloth to add some scrubbing power on my hands. It has a nice scent and leaves my hands soft after a day in the studio.

I bought this to clean my makeup brushes, so this review is only for that. I read online that it works really well, but was pretty disappointed. I would give it 2 stars, but since it’s doesn’t say it’s for brushes, 3 stars for an okay product.
Posted a photo of what it looked like when I opened it. I was surprised because it looks used, it’s not sealed and the stuff is all over the lid. The gel texture is really airy and goopy, it has a hard time sticking to anything but itself, so blobs of it would just go down the drain unless it’s really massaged into whatever you’re cleaning, even if it’s just your hands.
It cleaned my makeup brushes like a weak soap, some stuff comes off but there is still color stained in the bristles, for just the blush brush, not any crazy makeup pigment.

I use this to get acrylic paint off of my hands – and not constantly scrub my hands with soap and water between painting sessions.Goes on very quickly, wipes paint off of my hand with a towel that I keep beside me, and I continue on! Smells great too.

According to their website, Fast Orange hand cleaner cream is formulated to remove resins, oil, grease, tar, grime, soil, printers’ ink, epoxies, paint, rubber cement, gasket and tile cements. It also works great on laundry stains, scuff marks, tile floors, pet odors and many other household cleaning needs.
Now, certainly, I can’t vouch for its cleaning properties in all of the above situations, but I am delighted with the results for those things I do use it for. And the fact that it’s biodegradable and is free of chemicals and petroleum solvents makes its effectiveness all the more impressive in my opinion. More good points? It smells great and is fortified with aloe, lanolin, and other skin conditioners.
I keep a tub of this in my art studio where I use it to do the final cleaning of my brushes. Natural fiber artist brushes can be very expensive (some $50+), so it’s important to me to take good care of them to extend their life. When I’ve finished painting for the day, I take the time to thoroughly clean all of the brushes that were used. I first wipe any excess oil paint off on a paper towel and then swish each brush a number of times in a container of turpentine. After most of the visible paint has been removed, I scoop a dab of Fast Orange into the palm of my hand and work the cleaner into the bristles of the paint brushes. I make sure that the cleaner is worked up as far into the ferrule of each brush as possible to get rid of any gunky residue. Then I rinse under warm water and reshape the bristles of each brush. Even in brushes that appear to have all paint removed by the turpentine, a lot more paint is loosened and removed by the Fast Orange. There are specific brush-cleaning soaps sold by art supply stores, but none work as well for me as Fast Orange.
I also keep a tub of this by the sink in our laundry room for nice-smelling hand cleaning when we come in from doing lawn work. It also works well to rub some into any oil/grease spots on clothing prior to washing. I let it remain on the stain for a bit, then run a bit of hot water over the spot before placing in the washing machine.
Although their smooth formula is the only type I’ve used, Fast Orange also comes in a form with pumice added to the cream as well as a pump container of the hand cleaner in a more liquid form.
