Purchased for the repair of a motorcycle water pump. Used it to seal the cover, on an old gasket. New gasket was backordered. Very easy to apply. I gave it 24 hours to dry before filling coolant and starting the bike again. Seal and pump are completely dry after riding the motorcycle for a few hundred miles. No leaks. I am extremely happy with the product. Highly recommended.

This tube is relatively small. Other reviews said the same thing, but you have to see it for yourself. It’s enough to do one housing, maybe two.

I’ve use this product twice now on two separate engines after the water pump seal, the expensive rubber / metal gasket/seal, failed to seal. No idea why as they were the top of the line high quality seals with a brand new water pump brand, and all surfaces cleaned beforehand, but they didn’t work. So I turned to this Permatex product and it worked flawlessly on both water pump installations.

Put this on the EXTERIOR edge of the seal for my 2007 Jeep WK Grand Cherokee’s new water pump, trying not to touch the gasket. So the rubber-like gasket is still the primary seal, but this provides additional security. It’s been a year and still no leaks.
