A better solution that the factory. Still gotta remove exhaust, heat shield (and maybe axle) to gain access to break off old clip and mount this. Easier than factory installation.

Bought this to replace the self destructing BMW parking brake cable bracket. Installation is not too bad. I followed the various online videos and lowered the exhaust via the two hangers to remove the heat shield. It helps to lift the car a little higher to be able to rotate the heat shield around the exhaust pipes. This bracket doesn’t come with rubber sleeves so I wrapped the hanger with some gorilla duct tape (see pictures) so its not metal on metal but may not be necessary. Installing the new bracket is much easier if you break off the old plastic hanger pieces first (see picture of the pieces that were removed). New bracket should last much much longer than the plastic piece that came with the car.
