The insulation around the wires is very thin and split exposing wires the first time I used them.

These cables are very poor quality when it comes to the insulation. The insulation will come apart where the black and red cables meet exposing the cable and causing a short. This could cause lots of damage to a vehicles electrical system and very costly repairs. The clamps are excellent and the length of the cables is also great, but that means nothing if you cant safely use them. Look elsewhere if you are needing good jumper cables!

I’ve got a long (23′) crew cab pickup with 8′ bed, so I wanted a longer set of cables in case I pull in front of someone that needs a jump start. I would have really liked a 35′ length, but I didn’t find this. The 56′ cables are just way too long for my use, so the 30′ cables were a good compromise.
