Nice looking product but had concerns about the figment. Sent a note to the company but never received a response. Seems to work well enough but would buy from another group if it fails in a short period of time due to poor customer service.

One strut on the driver’s side works great.
However , I’m kind of OCD about things and ordered a second strut for the otherside.

Purchased Jan. 2024, lasted a little over a year installed. Now is rusted and falls off henge that it came with. Disappointed.

Took 15 minutes to install. If I had to do it again I could do it in less than 10 minutes. Very simple, works effectively and absolutely prevents the tailgate from slamming down. Now it lowers down night and slow. No problem closing the tailgate. You might get a small scratch on the inside of your tailgate from parts rubbing up against it when closing the tailgate, but I was not concerned as my F-150 is aluminum and it wont rust. They do include a clear plastic sheet to cover areas which might rub. (you are going to get scratches in your paint eventually anyway, and this one you wont even see unless you open the tailgate and look for it). Overall, I was very satisfied.
